Joyce retired in June 2019 after almost 30 years working as a technical writer and editor specialising in energy, environmental issues, biotechnology and chemistry.
Joyce enjoys singing alto with Steventon Choral Society.
Other interests include 19th and 20th century history. Joyce is chairman of Radley History Club. She also looks after the Club's publications and its website.
Joyce is a member of the management committee for Radley Village Shop – a community co-operative.
Joyce's husband, John, is a silversmith and a founder member of the Abingdon Silver Group.
John formerly worked as an energy policy consultant specialising in climate change agreements and industrial energy efficiency. John was awarded an MBE in 2012 for services to the environment.
John is a volunteer at Radley Village Shop and a member of its IT group.
